Black Manhattan


2 oz Freeland Bourbon

1 oz Averna

3 dashes Angostura bitters

Mix all ingredients together and add ice. Stir for 35 - 40 seconds. Strain into a glass of your choice and garnish with a lemon twist.

Love Below

1.5 oz Freeland Bourbon

1oz Portland Soda Works: Mango-Habanero Syrup 

.75oz lemon juice

.5oz Aperol

3 dashes Addition Bitters: Piri Piri Bitters

Mix all ingredients together in a tin shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Double strain using a fine mesh strainer and a Hawthorne strainer into a rocks glass. Add ice and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

MINT JULEP

2 oz Freeland Bourbon

1 sugar cube

5 dashes Angostura Bitters

5-8 mint leaves

Hand-crushed ice

In a copper mug, muddle the sugar cube, Angostura Bitters, and mint. Add half of your of hand crushed ice and 2oz bourbon. Add the rest of the crushed ice. Garnish with a mint bouquet and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. 

 

Bourbon sour

2 oz Freeland Bourbon

1 sugar cube

1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

1 egg White

Hand-crushed ice

Add ingredients into a shaker tin WITHOUT ice

Shake vigorously for 15-20seconds.

Add a small scoop of ice, and continue shaking vigorously until cocktail is chilled.

Strain into a coupe and garnish with aromatic bitter drops.

 

Boulevardier

2 oz Freeland Bourbon

3/4 oz Campari

1 oz Sweet Vermouth

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass.

Add ice to fill the mixing glass.

Stir—preferably with a bar spoon, although a regular spoon will work just fine—for roughly 25-30 rotations, or until the cocktail is chilled and diluted.

Pour over a bourbon cube in a rocks glass and garnish with an orange twist. 

 

cinnamon old fashioned

2 oz Freeland Bourbon

2 spoonfuls of Demerara simple syrup

2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

3-5 dashes of Orange Bitters

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass.

Add ice to fill the mixing glass.

Stir—preferably with a long bar spoon, although a regular spoon will work just fine—for roughly 25-30 rotations, or until the cocktail is chilled and diluted.

Pour over a bourbon cube in a rocks glass and garnish with a lemon twist. 

**Holiday twist? Try adding ¼ oz of Fernet Branca to the recipe to add some festive herbaceous and bitter notes. Be cautious, as a little goes a long way.**
